With the year coming to a close, we wanted to take a look at our favorite wine blogs this year. As in our daily wine blog reading, on our list perennial favorites and award winners mingle with the young Turks of the wine blogging scene. There’s nothing like reading something fresh from a new voice but getting a chance to continue reading the likes of Eric Asimov and Alder Yarrow and other veteran writers we’ve come to know and love is comfort food for the soul.
Cherries & Clay is a new(ish) blog we’ve come to enjoy. Kurtis Kolt and Jake Skakun, who run this Canadian and very west coast blog, say they’re by no means experts in wine but we do love sharing in their experiences.
Good Grape is a site we like not only for its content but the fabulous design. Content is always king, but dressing it up in a nice package does wonders.
And as always, Alder Yarrow at Vinography keeps offering up some of the best wine knowledge on this world wide web. The content is always engaging and Alder’s posts frequent, which is a touch balance to maintain over the long term.
Thanks for tuning in, and have fun prepping your wine list for the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner seasons.
